Park Ridge Bus Depot Park Ridge
This project involved the demolition of the existing facility and the construction of a new state-of-the-art administration headquarters for BUS Qld.
The design and construct contract included the construction of an ultra modern three storey building using steel framing with a mixture of split faced blockwork, render and other various lightweight construction materials.
Also included in the works - high tech security and electrical fence upgrades; installation of internal lift; advanced driver facilities; parking bays for over 120 buses; parking bays for 110 cars.
The biggest challenge on this project was maintaining the bus parking and managing circulation during construction. This was achieved by staging the civil works over several months to ensure that there were always adequate areas available to facilitate bus and staff movements.
